Dr.Riane Eisler will be speaking in a Zoom event that is part of the American Humanist Association's Speaking of Humanism series Creating A Caring Economy.
We invite you to tune in live on September 23, 6:30-8:00 pm ET on Zoom or to watch the recording that will be posted to the American Humanist Association's website after the event.
Find the Introduction to the event below:
The argument of Capitalism versus Socialism fails to recognize that both are rooted in domination systems that devalue the work of care in both the formal and informal economic sectors. Instead we need an economic system that supports mutual respect, non-violence, equality, empowerment, and caring. Partnerism focuses on promoting human rights and nonviolence, gender and racial equity, child development, and new metrics that demonstrate the enormous economic contribution of caring for people, starting at birth, and caring for our natural life support systems.

The American Humanist Association has stood as the voice of humanism in the United States for over 80 years.
"They strive to bring about a progressive society where being good without a god is an accepted and respected way to live life. They are accomplishing this through their defense of civil liberties and secular governance, by their outreach to the growing number of people without traditional religious faith, and through a continued refinement and advancement of the humanist worldview.
Humanism is a nontheistic worldview with ethical values informed by scientific knowledge and driven by a desire to meet the needs of people in the here and now. At the foundation of those values is an affirmation of the dignity of every human being."
