Riane Eisler's advice is the type of advice you take in, and then feel the need to pass on. Eisler gave out a lot of advice when she was a guest on the 36x36 Association's podcast. The podcast episode, Inspiring exchange with Riane Eisler, is hosted by Dr. Kuenkel, Founder of the Collective Leadership Institute and Co-President of the 36x36 Association.
The first question that Dr. Kuenkel asks Eisler is: "If you look with your life experience at the world of today, what would you recommend to a thirteen year old girl?"
Riane Eisler's Advice:
"Thirteen is such a great age because you are becoming aware at that age more than you were before. I would say believe in yourself, make your voice heard, and realize that you and your leadership will be essential. Familiarize yourself with the world as it is but imagine the world as it can be, as it should be, and work for that. And, don't believe everything you are told."
Eisler discusses how women's work has been devalued and the importance of standing reality right side up to show how important and valuable care work is that is primarily done by women for free in the household.
Later on in the episode, Eisler explains that "we need to re-examine economics from a larger perspective that include life-supporting activities of households, communities, and nature."
In the episode, Eisler discusses the Cultural Transformation Theory, Spiritual Courage, changing the narrative, the Caring Economy, a new term "pragmatopia", and much more.
