Dr. Riane Eisler was so far ahead. Now she is right on time.
Dr. Eisler put the terms “Caring Economics” and “Human Infrastructure” on the map years ago, in her book The Real Wealth of Nations, and the world is finally catching up to her.
Listen to the interview with Dr. Riane Eisler on The Reluctant Therapist, a podcast focused on the state of our collective mental health and our cultural well-being. In this conversation, Dr. Eisler talks with podcast host, Elizabeth Barrett, about Eisler’s latest book Nurturing Our Humanity: How Domination and Partnership Shape Our Brains, Lives and Future, and how it “may be her most powerful transformational gift to our collective cultural narrative.”
The two converse about how we can create a more equitable, sustainable, and less violent world based on partnership rather than domination.
“I think you will know her work, but not really know it comes from her. You are hearing a lot of the work that she’s done for the last 30 years come to the surface in a lot of political campaigns and the new platforms of the democratic party. This whole forward momentum into the 21st century, moving from a domination based cultural narrative to a partnership based one. One that supports the care giving work in society… So you may not know her personally, but you are going to recognize all of the contributions she has made to society.”—Elizabeth Barrett, host of The Reluctant Therapist
